Love & Leadership

Guiding Your Child From The Heart

Lead yourself and your family into a bright new beginning.
Build positive and loving relationships while maintaining authority and creating a nurturing, peaceful environment.

Wraparound offers many benefits to families dealing with a youth’s challenging behaviors and/or fragile emotional state, from in-home therapeutic services to parent coaching. Every family needs different levels of support. Some children’s needs are so intense that the safest, most beneficial option is residential treatment while others have success when professional support is offered in the home and in the community. Regardless of the need for treatment, most parents and caregivers want to work towards creating a positive home environment and fostering positive relationships.

Seeing the unique challenges faced by parents with “intense” children, we have created the Love & Leadership coaching support services, which focus on empowering parents into a position of leadership centered around love for both themselves and their children. The goal is to put the parent/caregiver in the driver seat and to help reclaim parental power.

With this program, you participate in the online training/support group using the Nurtured Heart Approach®: OPTIMIZE: 7 Simple Steps to Nurture Your Heart and Transforming the Intense Child: The Nurtured Heart ApproachIn 7 Simple Steps to Nurture Your Heart, starting from where you are, we invite you to examine your routine patterns of self-communication and values and give you a set of precise tools, examples and activities to develop a more nurturing, loving, and positive relationship with yourself and in turn, you learn how to use these techniques toward your family members. In Transforming the Intense Child, you learn the foundation of the Nurtured Heart Approach® and how to apply the teachings to increase positive and peaceful relationships in your home.

Who Is This Program For?

Parents and caregivers whose children are in residential treatment or foster homes

Parents and caregivers whose children are being transitioned back into their home

Parents and caregivers whose children are at risk for out of home treatment

Parents, foster & resource parents struggling to manage at risk behaviors in their home

Overall every caregiver/parent who participated in the event stated that they noticed positive changes in how they react to situations that arise and are implementing the skills learned into their daily habits.

More Information

The program was run very efficiently, attention to detail was evident. The content was not too technical, and was at the same time informative and backed by research and statistics. Sherry and her staff worked hard to incorporate videos into the program so that it was not all in lecture form. There were plenty of opportunities for participants to interact and ask questions, which I found to be particularly helpful, as we were participating remotely on our home computers.

The program itself was very helpful to me. Our family had become disconnected, and I was fearful of my eldest child’s behavior. He was causing quite a bit of upheaval in our home, and my husband and I were not able to discipline him or protect our youngest child from him. The program focused on methods that are simple yet not always evident when one is in a difficult situation.

However, when put into practice, the encouraging nature of the program became very easy to implement, and had a profoundly positive effect on my entire family. I was even able to teach the process to my husband, who did not have the opportunity to attend the workshop. My household is calmer, and we have been spending more calm quality time together – because of 7 Simple Steps to Nurture Your Heart. My children get along better, and I never hesitate to notice and comment on their positive interactions. My communication has improved with my husband. I focus on the positive, whereas I had in the past dwelt on the negative. Just like everyone, my husband likes to be complimented. By shifting my focus to the positive, I have become a more loving and nurturing wife and mother.

I highly recommend this program, whether or not you are in a crisis situation as my family has been. Change can seem difficult, but with 7 Simple Steps to Nurture Your Heart it can feel effortless.
