I’m currently enrolled in my first year towards my Master’s in Social Work at Rutgers University. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Montclair State University. In 2013, I completed the Child Advocacy and Policy Certificate Program. Social Work is something I have always been interested in, especially working with children and families. I have one-year experience working for the Department of Children and Families.
As a student intern, I will be providing face-to-face interventions, supportive counseling, and behavioral modification strategies for children and adolescents. I will be trained in Nurture Heart Approach. I’m currently in the process of obtaining the New Jersey Children’s System of Care Behavioral Assistant Training Certification. I will like to do Quality Assurance for the agency and supporting working in partnership with Family Support Organization of Bergen and Essex County. After completing my Master’s in Social Work, I plan to continue my education and obtain my LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) and work with children and families in need of advocacy and guidance.
