I am excited to be working with the Sherry Blair Institute for Inspirational Change. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and French from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania. I worked for 7 years in the publishing industry, starting out as an assistant editor and growing to the role of senior managing editor. During that time, I received my MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University. I found that the most rewarding part of being a manager was working with people and supporting them as they met their personal and professional goals. I left publishing in 2000, to pursue a graduate degree in Social Work. The birth and subsequent raising of my children interrupted that path, but I received a yoga teaching certificate and taught yoga for 10 years to a variety of clients. In 2016, I graduated from Kean University with my MA in School Counseling with LPC qualification. I have a NJ State School Counselor certification and am licensed as an Associate Counselor with the State of NJ. I am a National Certified Counselor with the National Board of Certified Counselors. In 2017, I received my certification as a Clinical Trauma Professional from the International Association of Trauma Professionals. I have been working with adults with severe, persistent mental illness and substance use disorders, facilitating a variety of groups and working with clients in individual therapy. I enjoy working with children and adolescents, and am passionate about supporting young people and their families as they face challenges and celebrate successes. I believe in a strengths-based, solution-focused, positive approach to counseling and am thrilled to have the opportunity to assist children and families in Union County.
